Hailing from Northern Kentucky, Lauren Houston and Heather Turner are the fuel behind the fire of Honey & Houston. Joined by multi-instrumentalist Mark Cretcher and drummer Daniel Peterson the band has quickly become a fixture on the Cincinnati scene, playing high-profile festivals like Buckle Up and the Whispering Beard as well as opening for national acts including Tim O’Brien, Eilen Jewell, David Bromberg and Scott Miller / Rayna Gellert. In 2014 they were nominated for a Cincinnati Entertainment Award. The group blends diverse influences with sweet melodies and goose bump-inducing harmonies.
Honey & Houston recently released their debut album Barcelona to immediate critical acclaim. Each song on the album has a story, drawing from their travels, hard times, life changes and love. In the words of one of their songs, “Giving up is not an option!”
